Overview

Responsible for drop team’s compliance to all applicable Gaming Regulations and procedures. Reports to Management incidents or conditions that compromises team’s ability to adhere to Gaming Regulations.

Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.

 

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

        

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Advises Management of conditions that effect efficiency, safety, or compromises the security of company assets.
  • Works with the Count Operation’s Management to understand and correct any noted deficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and supervision for associates assigned to drop teams and other tasks.
  • Trains other Associates in specifics of jobs in team operations.
  • Coordinate workloads among team members, assumes responsibility for reports generated by team.
  • Coordinates with team members, logistical support for drop team to maintain required team efficiency and accuracy.
  • Must be proficient and perform aspects of Count Operations procedures on floor and in count room in accordance with department procedures and Internal Controls.
  • Retrieves cash boxes and/or coin buckets from the slot machines.
  • Operate electric carts and tow multiple trailers safe and efficiently.
  • Sort, count, and wrap coins using various equipment.
  • Sort coins by denomination, using coin separating machines. Remove counterfeit, mutilated cash/coins, and separate and foreign chips.
  • Count, verify and record the games revenue of each box or container while in the secured count room.
  • Sort the contents of each drop box by cash, coin or chip and then by denomination of each.
  • Maintains knowledge of and perform functions in accordance with established gaming regulations and procedures.
  • Understand and follow all department policies and procedures.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required.

TESTING:

Must score a minimum of 85% on the Count Operations Math test. Must take the required testing identified for this position.

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be able to operate electric carts and count room related equipment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least forty (40) pounds, and able to walk, and stand for 90% of assigned shift. Push or pull and maneuver carts (full 1000 pounds; empty 200 pounds). Bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling may be required throughout shift.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level is loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. Works in highly secure environment and is subject to Internal Controls and procedures supporting the security of company assets.

 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
