Overview

Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations in the Receiving Division of the Finance Department on and off property so as to minimize potential loss to the company.

Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.

 

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

        

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and policies and procedures.
  • Receives and verify shipments on Receiving Dock, logs pertinent information into computer database, coordinates workflow to ensure timely delivery of supplies to all departments of the Company.
  • Follow all procedures with regards to suspicious packages.
  • Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and Food & Beverage specifications.
  • Ensures that all shipments are received in good, undamaged condition.
  • Fill and deliver all requisitions from storerooms in a timely manner.
  • Receive UPS and FedEx daily and verify counts.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well organized storage facility.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment in a safe and prescribed manner.
  • Compiles statistical data for reporting purposes.
  • Maintains all files in the Receiving Division of the Finance Department.
  • Perform and document physical inventory counts.
  • Assist and work with the Inventory Control personnel to ensure the accuracy of the receiving and inventory records and logs.
  • Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve Receiving disputes.
  • Attaches the invoice to Purchase Order and indicates the quantity received, number of boxes, date received, invoice number, and any other pertinent information. Compliance with all applicable Resort internal controls.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in performing all aspects of their assigned responsibilities.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required.  One (1) year of previous receiving experience is preferred.

 

TESTING:

Must be able score at least 85% on a Basic Math test.  Must take the required testing identified for this position.

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license: No more than one ticket per year, including speeding and no DUI or suspended license for 3 years.  Ability to learn and use the Stratton-Warren inventory/purchasing system in performing their assigned job functions within their first 30 days.  Must be Serve-Safe certified or have the ability to complete and pass the course within their first ninety (90) days.  Must have a Fork Lift license or have the ability to complete and pass the training course within their first thirty (30) days.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions, furnished in written, oral or diagram form. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least seventy-five (75) pounds.  Must be able to walk or stand for 100% of the assign shift.  Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in excess of 4 hours.  Ability to work in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.  Extensive Bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling may be required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
