Overview

Performs administrative support functions such as preparing reports, drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers.

Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.

 

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

        

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes customers to the park in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the property area and assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets.
  • Answer, listen to and complete incoming telephone calls, as appropriate. Route calls to proper party as required.
  • Read and route incoming mail. Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes.
  • Schedule appointments, give information to callers, and otherwise relieve officials of clerical work and minor administrative duties.
  • Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities and records and transcribe minutes of meetings.
  • Order and maintain supplies and arrange for equipment maintenance.
  • Handle sensitive and/or stressful situations or information with tact, discretion and significant awareness of confidentiality. .
  • Provide the guest and park associates with park service announcements and emergency information through the park’s intercom system.
  • Monitor and communicate efficiently with other associates by two-way radio.
  • Respond to emergency calls and inform the appropriate personnel and agencies in the event of a first aid emergency, fire, bomb threat, or any other disaster.
  • Keep daily logs on lost children, in-park emergency or security calls, weather conditions, and attendance.
  • Provide travel directions to the park from different states and cities.
  • Change security monitoring tapes every morning and late afternoon.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of facilities/outlets and special and upcoming events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible.
  • Communicates important, relevant information to following shift.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • All other duties as assigned.

AGE and GAMING:

18 years of age or above.  Non – Gaming property.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least forty (40) pounds, and standing/walking 90% of the shift.  Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift.  This position is required to work in outside weather conditions and may perform responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces as well as exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and extreme weather/heat.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
