Overview

Responsible for the timely entry of all invoices, transfers, credits and debits to ensure accurate inventory controls.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

        

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains adjustments and transfers in an accurate filing system.
  • Investigate any variance found through physical inventory and address the issues with the appropriate managerial staff.
  • Complete cycle counts on storerooms periodically, and adjust items accordingly. Research any discrepancies.
  • Complete any item adjustments in the purchasing/inventory system for storerooms requested by the appropriate department personnel.
  • Enter cost transfers to obtain inventory cost of food and beverage outlets at month end.
  • Conduct outlets inventory audits on food and beverage outlets each month.
  • Complete any journal entries to balance accounts that the inventory department is responsible for at the month end.
  • Acts as a liaison between purchasing and receiving to be able to convey any problems encountered on a daily basis.
  • Conducts physical inventories, works with management to verify that inventories and tally sheets have been entered correctly.
  • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required.  Associate’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field or the completion of some post-secondary classes in the accounting field is preferred.

 

TESTING:

Must be able score at least 85% on a Basic Math test, a minimum of 70% accuracy on Excel, 10-Key no minimum score.  Must take the required testing identified for this position.

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.  Must be proficient in Stratton Warren, Excel, 10-Key, and Infogenesis.  Experience utilizing a POS (Point-of-Sale) system and any type of hotel / inventory system in the performance of an audit is highly desirable and preferred.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least forty (40) pounds, and sit and talk for extended periods in excess of 4 hours.  Must be able to walk or stand for 50% of the assign shift.  Bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling may be required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
