Overview

Responsible servicing all heating, ventilation, cooling and propane systems, as documented and required or as scheduled on the property.

 

Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to…

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and policies and procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, inspections and procedures on assigned heating, ventilation, cooling and propane systems, as documented and required.
  • Adjust, troubleshoot and repair motors and motor control systems, as requested.
  • Read and follow mechanical, construction and electrical control drawings accurately in order to complete the assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain Refrigeration log book and documentation.
  • Inspect, modify and repair existing ducts and duct work and install new ductwork systems as required in assigned facilities and locations.
  • Monitor and repair associated propane systems.
  • Provide assistance and professional knowledge to other associates in the training of the functions, troubleshooting, operations and repairs associated with the HVAC trade.
  • Maintain and update “as-built” drawings associated with HVAC systems.
  • Provide assistance to the Facilities Maintenance supervision staff in the training of other Associates in the functions, operations and repairs associated with the HVAC trade.
  • Stock, order and maintain adequate spare parts par levels associated with the HVAC equipment.Assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets, tools and equipment.
  • Operate basic maintenance equipment in a safe manner in order to complete the assigned tasks.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safekeeping of any storage area, control room, operations room or other identified area or frequented to complete the assigned duties and tasks.
  • Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required.  Three (3) years’ experience maintenance and operation of four pipe fan coil units, up to 25000 cfm, including their electrical service and internal control systems is required.  Three (3) years’ experience in the operation and trouble-shooting of computerized energy management systems is required.  Previous high level experience with Trane operating systems is preferred. Universal recovery certification is required.

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have previous experience with the operation and maintenance of variable frequency drives used in fan and circulating pumps. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and good driving record – one or less moving violation within a 12 month period.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.

  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

 

Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: able to work in external environments for at least 50% of the assigned shift.  Safely lift and/or move up to seventy (70) pounds on occasions as well as walk and stand for extended periods of time in excess of 4 hours.  Able to work in high places.  Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift.  Work around hazardous equipment and power tools.  Exposed to hazardous chemicals.  Use of personal Protective Equipment such as masks, gloves, shoes, etc, may be required at times.  May require working out of doors in inclement weather, and extreme hot or cold conditions.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
