    Responsible for ensuring the staff of the Maintenance Department at Geyser Falls are efficient and productive in completing assigned projects and duties and in compliance with Resort standards.  Assist the Resort maintenance management team as needed.

    Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.


    Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.


    Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.


    • Assign and supervise assigned associates at various locations according to job requirements and worker’s ability, skills and experience.
    • Maintains adequate staffing levels, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting and disciplining Associates, as needed.
    • Supervise the day to day operation of the facilities maintenance department at the Water Park
    • Work with the maintenance associates at the Water Park to develop and maintain an ongoing and effective training program.
    • Conduct meetings and regularly update team members about operations.
    • Develop procedures to reduce guest complaints.
    • Maintain adherence to all areas of the associate hand book.
    • Provide assistance and guidance to the maintenance associates at the Water Park in the performance of all duties. Assist the Resort maintenance management team as needed.
    • Work with all department heads to maintain a high level of communication.
    • Meet with other departments to maintain open lines of communication.
    • Perform weekly walkthroughs with management.
    • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
    • Promotes a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction in the department.
    • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
    • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
    • Ensure that required licensing and training are maintained and up to date.
    • Monitor budgets and ensure that we are planning projects through capital and P&L.
    • Control utility cost by establishing the proper maintenance procedures.
    • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
    • Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.
    • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

    Directly supervises the daily activities of assigned Maintenance Associates at the Water Park on assigned shift. 


    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    AGE and GAMING:

    21 years of age or above

    Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.



    High School diploma or GED is preferred.  Associate’s Degree (AA); or a minimum of 10 years related previous experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Six (6) months previous experience in the development and controlling of a repair and maintenance budget in excess of three (3) million dollars.  Three (3) months previous experience in the development and completion of building maintenance related projects.  Prefer (1) year experience working with high voltage, large horsepower pumps, filtration equipment.  Water Chemistry experience is preferred.  Previous Manager/Supervisor experience is preferred.



    Must possess a valid Driver’s License and good driving record – one or less moving violation within a 12 month period.  Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.  Must complete Incident Management System course within one (1) year of employment.  Certified AFO or CPO is required 



    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization.



    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.



    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.



    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


    Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following:  Safely lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds on occasions as well stand and walk for 90% of assigned shift. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift.  Exposed to hazardous cleaning type chemicals and water treatment chemicals.  Must be able to work outdoors through temperature extremes and changing weather conditions such as drought, rain, ice, and snow.



    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 


    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  When in designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 


    Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
